Such an assembly is particularly intended to provide access to the trunk of a motor vehicle by opening the tailgate. A user of the motor vehicle can thus easily load and unload, for example, bulky objects from the rear of the vehicle by opening the tailgate.
Such a tailgate opens, generally, by rotation of the tailgate which passes from a closed position, substantially parallel to the plane of the opening of the body structure, to an open position, substantially perpendicular to the plane of the opening of the body structure, in which the tailgate extends above the user's head.
However, such hatches must be able to open in different opening positions. For example, these different opening positions must be adapted to restricted environments, to a limited height or to allow the tailgate to shelter the boot in bad weather.
To do this, it is known opening and closing devices offering different opening positions, comprising, in addition to the articulation of the tailgate on the body structure, a cylinder to limit the movement of the opening of the body. tailgate.
However, such devices offer limited possibilities in terms of opening kinematics, which restricts the number of possible open positions.
Furthermore, the document EP1454782 discloses a tailgate opening and closing device comprising a first arm and a first jack mounted between the body structure and one side of the tailgate and a second arm and a second cylinder mounted between the body structure and the other side of the tailgate, to offer different opening cinematics.
Such a device does not give complete satisfaction. Indeed, the opening and closing device always offers a limited number of opening positions of the tailgate. Thus, such a device does not allow, for example, the tailgate to release optimal access to the trunk when the vehicle includes a roof box.
An object of the invention is to provide a rear vehicle assembly, the opening and closing device of the tailgate has improved features to provide a number of open positions increased compared to the state of the art. For this purpose, the invention particularly relates to an assembly of the aforementioned type, wherein the opening and closing device comprises at least a first cylinder and a second cylinder, the first cylinder and the second cylinder being each fixed between the body structure and the first side edge of tailgate.
By providing that the opening and closing device comprises at least two jacks fixed between the body structure and the first side edge of the tailgate, a greater number of opening positions are provided than those provided by the device. opening and closing known in the state of the art. In particular, the terms "upper", "lower", "left", "right", "above", "below", "forward" and "backward" generally mean in relation to the normal direction of movement of the motor vehicle and the position of the driver.
A rear vehicle assembly 10 is shown in FIGS. 1-4. The rear assembly 10 comprises a body structure 12.
The body structure 12 defines an opening 14. The opening 14 is able to provide access to the interior of a rear part of a vehicle, for example the trunk and / or the rear deck of the vehicle, since the outside the vehicle. The opening 14 comprises at least a first lateral edge of the opening 16 and a second lateral edge of the opening, formed by amounts of the body structure 12.
The first lateral edge of the opening 16 extends substantially in a direction of elevation of the vehicle and is located, for example, to the left of the vehicle.
By symmetry, the second lateral edge of the opening extends substantially in a direction of elevation of the vehicle and is located, for example, to the right of the vehicle. The opening 14 further comprises an upper edge of the opening 18 extending, for example, between the roof of the vehicle and the side edges of the opening 14, and a lower edge of the opening 19, extending, for example, between the floor of the vehicle and the lateral edges of the opening 14. The opening 14, thus delimited by the first lateral edge of the opening 16, the second lateral edge of the opening, the upper edge of the opening 18 and the lower edge of the opening 19, extends in one or more planes substantially perpendicular or inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The opening 14 further defines an axis of the opening A-A ', the axis of the opening A-A' being perpendicular to one of the above defined planes in which the opening 14 extends. The rear assembly 10 also comprises a tailgate 20.
Such a hatchback 20 is conventional in a motor vehicle and comprises, for example, glazed surfaces, rear vehicle optics, etc.
The tailgate 20 comprises at least a first tailgate side edge 22, a second tailgate side edge, a tailgate upper edge 24 and a tailgate lower edge 25.
The tailgate 20 is movable relative to the body structure 12 between at least one open position and a closed position.
In an open position, the opening 14 of the body structure 12 is accessible from outside the vehicle. The first tailgate side edge 22 and the second tailgate side edge are respectively facing the first side edge of the opening 16 and the second side edge of the opening.
In the closed position, the opening 14 of the body structure 12 is isolated from the outside environment of the vehicle. The first tailgate side edge 22 and the second tailgate side edge are then respectively pressed against the first side edge of the opening 16 and the second side edge of the opening, and the upper hatch edge 24 and the lower edge of the tailgate. tailgate 25 are respectively supported against the upper edge of the opening 18 and the lower edge of the opening 19.
When the tailgate 20 is in the closed position, it extends in one or more planes substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The rear assembly 10 further comprises an opening and closing device 26.
The opening and closing device 26 fixes the tailgate 20 to the body structure 12.
More particularly, the opening and closing device 26 forms the only fastening of the tailgate 20 to the body structure 12, that is to say that there is no other fixing element ensuring the attachment of the tailgate 20 on the body structure 12. The rear assembly 10 according to the invention thus has no direct articulation between the upper edge of the tailgate 24 and the upper edge of the opening 18 of the body structure 12, at the contrary to conventional tailgates of a motor vehicle. The opening and closing device 26 is then adapted to maintain the tailgate 20 closed in case of impact. Alternatively, the device 26 further comprises a closing lock located at the lower edge 25 of the tailgate 20 and adapted to cooperate with a holding member fixed to the body structure 12. The lock ensures a maintenance of the tailgate 20 on the body structure 12 in case of impact. Advantageously, the tailgate 20 also comprises two holding hooks located respectively at the upper level of the lateral edges of the tailgate and adapted to maintain the tailgate 20 on the body structure 12 in case of impact.
As illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4, the opening and closing device 26 comprises a first jack 28 and a second jack 30.
The first jack 28 and the second jack 30 each comprise a fixed portion 32, 34 and a movable portion 36, 38.
Each movable portion 36, 38 is respectively operable in translation relative to the fixed part 32, 34 associated between a retracted extreme position and an extended end position.
In the retracted extreme position, the cylinder 28, 30 has a minimum length.
In the extreme deployed position, the cylinder 28, 30 has a maximum length.
The fixed parts 32, 34 are integral with the body structure 12 and, for example, located in the vicinity of the first lateral edge of the opening 16. According to one embodiment, the fixed parts 32, 34 are fixed to the amount forming the first side edge of the opening 16.
The fixed parts 32, 34 are rotatably mounted respectively about a first axis B-B 'and a second axis C-C'.
The first axis B-B 'and the second axis C-C' are parallel to each other and perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
The moving parts 36, 38 are integral with the first tailgate side edge 22.
In particular, the first jack 28 and the second jack 30 are offset along the first tailgate side edge 22.
Thus, as illustrated in Figures 1 to 4, the movable portion 36 of the first jack 28 is, for example, located in the vicinity of the upper edge of the tailgate 24 and the movable portion 38 of the second cylinder 30 is, for example, located at mid -distance of the tailgate upper edge 24 and the lower tailgate edge 25.
The first cylinder 28 and the second cylinder 30 are, for example, hydraulic cylinders.
According to one embodiment, the rear assembly 10 has a symmetry with respect to a longitudinal vertical plane of the vehicle.
The opening and closing device 26 then comprises a third jack and a fourth jack, not shown in FIGS. 1 to 4.
The third cylinder and the fourth cylinder are then fixed and arranged in a similar manner to the first cylinder 28 and to the second cylinder 30.
In particular, the third jack and the fourth jack each comprise a fixed portion and a movable portion and are located offset between the second side edge of the opening and the second side edge of the tailgate. The movable portion of the third jack is, for example, located in the vicinity of the upper tailgate edge 24 and the movable portion of the fourth jack is, for example, located midway between the upper edge of the tailgate 24 and the lower edge of the tailgate 25 .
It is then conceivable that such an opening and closing device 26 is capable of offering a multitude of opening positions, by varying the position of the moving parts 36, 38 of the jacks 28, 30 with respect to the fixed parts 32, 34 between their retracted extreme position and their deployed extreme position and by varying the position of the fixed parts 32, 34 relative to the body structure 12 so as to move in rotation the fixed parts 32, 34 relative to the body structure 12.
Thus, as shown in Figure 2, the tailgate 20 occupies a first open position.
In this first open position, the tailgate 20 fully releases access to the opening 14. The upper edge of the tailgate 24 then rests on the roof of the vehicle.
As illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4, the tailgate 20 occupies respectively a second open position and a third open position compatible with a roof box 40.
The second open position is an intermediate position in which the tailgate 20 releases access to the opening 14 while projecting to the rear of the vehicle. This second open position is particularly practical in case of bad weather, the user can then protect themselves while accessing the trunk.
In the third open position, the tailgate 20 releases almost completely the access to the opening 14. The upper edge of the tailgate 24 then rests in part on the roof box 40. This third open position then has a bulk reduced. The rear assembly 10 according to the first embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4 comprises, moreover, first angular motor means and second motorization means.
The first angular motor means are associated at least with the first cylinder 28, the first cylinder 28 defining an angle with the axis of the opening A-A '.
When the opening and closing device 26 comprises, in a particular embodiment described above, a third cylinder and a fourth cylinder, first angular motor means are associated, for example, with the third cylinder.
The first angular motor means are adapted to vary or maintain the angle formed by the first cylinder 28 and the axis of the opening A-A '.
The first angular motor means are located at the fixed portion 32 of the first jack 28.
The second motorization means are associated at least with the first jack 28 and the second jack 30.
When the opening and closing device 26 comprises, in a particular embodiment described above, a third cylinder and a fourth cylinder, second angular motor means are associated with the third cylinder and / or fourth cylinder.
The second motorization means are adapted to control the displacement of the movable parts 36, 38 of the cylinders 28, 30, the displacement of the cylinders being understood as the compression and elongation of said cylinders between their retracted extreme position and their deployed extreme position.
In addition, these second drive means are adapted to maintain the first cylinder 28 and the second cylinder 30 in an open position or in the closed position. The rear assembly 10 according to the invention further comprises a computer.
The computer is adapted to control the first angular motor means and the second motorization means.
The calculator includes, for example, a set of prerecorded configurations.
The prerecorded configurations define a plurality of aperture positions and a plurality of aperture kinematics. At each opening position and at each opening kinematics corresponds a set of pre-recorded instructions transmitted by the computer to the first angular motor means and to the second motorization means so as to drive the jacks so that the tailgate 20 reaches the position desired opening.
Advantageously, the computer is adapted to allow the user to choose between an automatic mode and a manual mode.
In the automatic mode, the opening positions and kinematics are hierarchical in the computer according to the environment, the computer being able to implement the most appropriate solution.
In the manual mode, the control of the first angular motor means and the second motorization means is performed by the user. The rear assembly 10 according to the invention advantageously comprises at least one obstacle sensor.
Figures 1 to 4 illustrate a rear assembly 10 as just described, the rear assembly 10 comprising a first obstacle sensor 42 and a second obstacle sensor 44.
The first obstacle sensor 42 is fixed on the tailgate 20, for example in the vicinity of the upper tailgate edge 24.
The positioning of the first obstacle sensor 42 is thus adapted to detect, for example, a ceiling on which the tailgate 20 when it passes into an open position abuts, or a roof box 40.
The second obstacle sensor 44 is fixed on the tailgate 20, for example midway between the upper edge of the tailgate 24 and the lower edge of the tailgate 25.
The positioning of the second obstacle sensor 44 is thus adapted to detect the presence of an object located, for example, at the rear of the vehicle.
The first and second obstacle sensors 42, 44 are, for example, obstacle sensors similar to those used in "parking assistance" applications.
When the opening and closing of the tailgate 20 is controlled in automatic mode, according to the information provided by the first and second obstacle sensors 42, 44, the computer is adapted to determine whether the opening or closing of the tailgate 20 is possible, that is to say without the tailgate 20 does not touch an object of its environment during its movement and when it reaches one of its open positions.
In addition, the computer is able to determine an opening position and an opening kinematic respectively among the plurality of pre-recorded opening positions and the plurality of pre-recorded opening kinematics.
When the opening and closing of the tailgate 20 is controlled in manual mode, the information delivered by the first and second obstacle sensors 42, 44 are able to allow the user to confirm or invalidate the compatibility of his choice with the environment, or to automatically replace the tailgate to avoid contact with an obstacle.
The operation of the rear assembly 10 according to the invention will now be described.
Initially, a rear assembly 10 is provided with the tailgate 20 in the closed position as shown in FIG.
When the user wishes to clear access to the opening 14 of the body structure 12, he chooses between an automatic mode and a manual mode.
In the automatic mode, the user sends a control signal to the computer.
The computer receives the control signal and controls the first angular motor means and the second motorization means in an open position and a prerecorded opening kinematics.
This position and this opening kinematics are chosen by the computer according to the information received from the first and second obstacle sensors 42, 44.
Simultaneously, the first cylinder 28 then moves in rotation about the first axis B-B 'which causes the rotation of the second cylinder 30, and the first cylinder 28 and the second cylinder 30 are controlled to lie down and / or retract.
Once the open position is reached, the computer maintains in position the first angular motor means and the second motorization means.
When the user wishes to close the opening 14 of the body structure 12, it sends a signal to the computer that acts similarly to the maneuver opening.
In the manual mode, the user has the information provided by the first and second obstacle sensors 42, 44 and controls the first angular motor means and the second motorization means. The operation is then analogous to that described above and will not be repeated.
It is conceivable that such a rear assembly 10 has the advantage of offering a very large number of opening positions adapted to different environments. The rear assembly 10 thus allows the tailgate 20 to release the opening 14 even in the presence of a roof box 40.
In addition, the presence of the obstacle sensors 42, 44 provides safety and comfort during the opening and closing maneuvers of the tailgate 20.
Of course, other embodiments are possible.
For example, in a first variant, the opening and closing device 26 comprises two jacks fixed between the body structure 12 and the first tailgate side edge 22 and a jack fixed between the body structure 12 and the second lateral edge hatchback.
According to a second variant, the opening and closing device 26 comprises two jacks fixed between the body structure 12 and the first tailgate side edge 22 and a rod articulated between the body structure 12 and the second tailgate side edge.
Alternatively, the first angular motor means are associated with the second jack 30.
In another variant, such first angular motor means are associated with the first cylinder 28 and another cylinder fixed between the body structure 12 and the second side edge of the tailgate.
In another embodiment, all the cylinders of the opening and closing device 26 are associated with such first angular motor means.
In the same way, in another embodiment, the second motorization means are associated with all the cylinders of the opening and closing device 26.
Finally, depending on the shape of the tailgate 20, for example, other obstacle sensors can be installed on the tailgate 20 and arranged in a different way than that illustrated in Figures 1 to 4. Alternatively, all rear 10 includes only one obstacle sensor if the opening kinematics allows it.
